Chocolate Chips
That’s it! Throw 1/2 cup of milk, dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips into the mix and you’ve got yourself not just any banana bread, but THE Best Chocolate Chip Banana Bread.

The Best Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/3 cups mashed bananas
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (milk, dark or semi-sweet – your choice)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, beat sugar, eggs and oil. Add mashed bananas and beat until well incorporated. Gently beat in flour mixture until smooth. Fold in chocolate chips. Place batter in a greased loaf pan (9 x5). Bake for about 1 hour.
This recipe yields one sky high loaf that is chock full of banana flavour. It is moist with a traditional quick bread texture. The addition of chocolate chips makes this banana bread a special treat.
