See Shani Sew Like Crazy

Earlier this year I mentioned my insane plan to make 6 quilts for Christmas; each one being a present for our nieces and nephews. I started one and it remains unfinished. I’m not panicking just yet but one of my friends did mention that Christmas is less than 15 weeks away.

Say what? 15 weeks isn’t a lot of time. 6 quilts in 15 weeks? How about 6 quilts in 105 days? Actually it’s more like 100 days because I started this post a few days ago and I’m busy on December 23 and 24!  No matter how you put it, time is ticking away and these quilts are not sewing themselves.

Let the quilting madness begin!

Check out my pile of HST blocks. Take a guess at how many of these I pressed?

150! It took me almost 45 minutes to iron all of these but it’s done and I’ve already started piecing my nine patch blocks together.

I know it doesn’t look like much as it is. I need to sew up 24 more of these blocks and then I’ll be able to piece the quilt top together.

100 days, 6 quilts. Interested in joining me on this crazy quilting adventure? Don’t sew? Then maybe you would prefer to cheer me on instead. I definitely would welcome some cheering on the sidelines!
