It has been a long time since I worked on any crochet or knitting projects. I needed a break after knitting all the Mobius scarves for Christmas last year! Anyhow my latest project is a challenge from my friend Angie. She found a nice pair of boot cuffs on Etsy but they were pricey – close to $30 CAD if you include shipping. So she asked me if I could crochet boot cuffs for my next blog project. Of course I said yes because not only is it quite easy but I also get to check off one thing from my holiday gift list.
Wow, I think it’s high time I polished my “glossy” rain boots!
These boot cuffs are reversible. You can wear them with the pattern or the ribbing peeking out over your boots. I tried to stick with a simple pattern because I didn’t want the cuffs to be too lacey or bulky.
Here is a shot of the cuffs with the ribbing and a close up with a handmade tag featured at Scrapbooks by Design.
The pattern and ribbing are quite subtle with the grey and white blend wool but it is more pronounced when you use solid colour yarn.
The cuffs are easy to crochet. If you like this project be sure to visit again because there will be a free pattern posted next week. Or just as soon as I finish making a few pairs for Christmas gifts ha, ha!
Until next time…happy crafting!
